Rumah tradisional Melayu adalah sebahagian warisan seni bina orang Melayu yang bernilai dan telah direka bentuk serta dibina sehingga menampakkan kemahiran dan kreativiti orang Melayu dalam bidang seni bina. Terdapat pelbagai kajian terhadap rumah tradisional Melayu dari segi aspek kesenian rumah tradisional Melayu. Kebanyakkan rumah di Malaysia kini telah dimodenkan dan menyebabkan masyarakat kini kurang mengenali rumah tradisional Melayu. Terdapat rumah tradisional Melayu yang telah dibaik pulih serta dimodenkan untuk disimpan secara fizikal dan dijadikan sebagai pameran. Namun disebabkan perkembangan teknologi kini, rumah tradisional Melayu perlu dibangun dan didigitalkan serta boleh dicapai secara maya. Tujuan utama platfom ini dibangun adalah untuk memperkenalkan semula dan memelihara warisan seni bina rumah tradisional Melayu secara maya. Objektif kajian ini ialah untuk mendigitalkan rumah tradisional Melayu, membangunkan model konseptual penjelajahan rumah tradisional Melayu dengan menggunakan teknik perayauan maya dan menjalankan pengujian fungsi terhadap model konseptual yang dihasilkan. Metodologi kajian ini melalui empat fasa; iaitu analisis keperluan pengguna, reka bentuk model konseptual, pembangunan penjelajahan maya, dan pengujian fungsi. Sumbangan kajian ini ialah penjelajahan rumah tradisional Melayu menggunakan teknik perayauan maya yang memberikan pengalaman kepada pengguna meneroka rumah tradisional Melayu secara bukan imersif.</text>

Seni bina rumah warisan Melayu merupakan manifestasi kehebatan dan kebijaksanaan masyarakat Melayu silam&#13;
dalam membina dan merealisasikan rumah kediaman mereka. Falsafah, kepercayaan dan ritual di sebalik&#13;
proses pembinaannya selain ciri reka bentuk rumah yang bitara dan responsif terhadap iklim tropika serta latar&#13;
persekitaran semula jadi dapat mewujudkan keselesaan hawa dan penyejukan pasif pada ruang-ruang dalaman&#13;
rumah. Unsur-unsur bitara ini banyak diketengahkan dalam kajian ilmiah tentang seni bina warisan Melayu oleh&#13;
para penyelidik dan ahli akademik semenjak tahun 1980an hingga kini. Malah lama sebelum itu lagi catatan-catatan&#13;
dan rekod orientalis barat seawal abad ke-19 dari para sarjana, ahli ilmiah, pegawai pentadbir serta pengembara luar&#13;
turut mengakui keunggulan dan kehebatan seni bina rumah warisan Melayu ini di dalam hasil penulisan mereka.&#13;
Namun begitu, catatan awal dan rekod primer orientalis ini jarang dirujuk pada masa kini. Tujuan kajian ini&#13;
adalah untuk mengumpulkan catatan-catatan penting orientalis tentang kebitaraan dan keunggulan seni bina warisan&#13;
Melayu dan mencerakin perbandingan antara sumber lama ini dengan (i) hasil penulisan penyelidik tempatan yang&#13;
lebih kontemporari/ terkini dan (ii) sesi temubual dengan beberapa tokoh pakar/ akademik dalam bidang&#13;
pemuliharaan seni bina warisan Melayu hari ini. Kajian ini juga akan turut menganalisis kepentingan dan&#13;
keberkesanan perancangan susun atur ruang-ruang asas yang terdapat dalam rumah warisan Melayu. Hasil kajian&#13;
mendapati kedua-dua sudut pandangan dari penulis orientalis abad ke-19 dan penyelidik tempatan masa kini&#13;
mempunyai persamaan dalam membicarakan tentang kebitaraan dan keunggulan seni bina rumah warisan Melayu.</text>

Kajian ini merupakan kajian perubahan, reka bentuk dan evolusi yang berlaku pada rumah tradisional Negeri Sembilan. Keunikan reka bentuk rumah tradisional Negeri Sembilan melambangkan masyarakat Adat Perpatih yang diamalkan oleh masyarakat di Negeri Sembilan. Reka bentuknya telah diasimilasikan dengan budaya tempatan mengikut kesesuaian persekitaran, sejarah, pengaruh budaya dan adat resam mewakili pelbagai maksud dan terbentuknya identiti tersendiri. Pengabungan reka bentuk senibina Minangkabau dan senibina bumbung panjang menjadikan satu identiti bangunan rumah tradisional Melayu Negeri Sembilan dengan sedikit melentik di hujung bumbung, mempunyai bumbung bertingkat antara atap bumbung rumah ibu. Namun, reka bentuk bumbung ini telah dianggap bergonjong dan di katakan rumah Minangkabau. Kajian evolusi dan reka bentuk yang membina identiti rumah tradisional di Negeri Sembilan di buat melalui kajian reka bentuk rumah gadang di Sumatera Barat dan rumah tradisional di Negeri Sembilan.</text>

Lebih daripada sekadar struktur untuk perlindungan, ciri fizikal rumah-rumah ini mencerminkan nilai-nilai tradisional, kepercayaan, dan cara hidup. Berakar dalam warisan budaya yang kaya dari komuniti Melayu, mereka telah dibentuk selama berabad-abad oleh sejarah, geografi, dan interaksi sosial. Sebagai hasilnya, mengkaji ciri fizikal seni bina tradisional Terengganu memerlukan pendekatan interdisiplin yang merangkumi bukan sahaja aspek teknikal dan fungsional tetapi juga kepentingan budaya dan simbolik. Ini memerlukan integrasi prinsip seni bina dan pembinaan dengan perspektif sosial, budaya, dan sejarah. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti elemen struktur dan bukan struktur rumah tradisional Terengganu, khususnya Rumah Bujang Berselasar dan Rumah Tiang Dua Belas. Ciri-ciri istimewa ini mencerminkan konteks tempatan dan pengaruh budaya, menyumbang kepada penciptaan identiti resort pesisiran. Permasalahan kajian adalah identiti adat dan budaya sesebuah masyarakat semakin terhakis kerana tidak dihargai. Oleh sebab itu, kajian ini dijalankan untuk meningkatkan identiti adat dan budaya masyarakat dengan seni bina tradisional melayu. Objektif dalam kajian ini adalah mengenal pasti ciri-ciri reka bentuk seni bina rumah tradisional Melayu, mengenal pasti tahap implementasi reka bentuk seni bina rumah tradisional Melayu yang diterapkan ke dalam reka bentuk seni bina rumah moden dan mengkaji langkah-langkah untuk meningkatkan implementasi reka bentuk seni bina rumah tradisional Melayu ke dalam reka bentuk seni bina rumah moden. Metodologi kajian ini adalah kaedah kualitatif iaitu menggunakan instrumen temu bual lima orang responden iaitu tiga orang arkitek dari syarikat kontraktor dan dua orang pemilik rumah tradisional Melayu di sekitar negeri Selangor. Hasil kajian yang diperolehi adalah ciri-ciri tradisional yang boleh diimplementasi dalam rumah moden ada 5 iaitu ukiran, bertiang tinggi, berbumbung panjang, berdinding kayu dan mempunyai bukaan yang luas untuk pencahayaan dan pengudaraan semula jadi. Walau bagaimanapun tahap pengimplementasian seni bina tradisional berkurang disebabkan oleh faktor kewangan tetapi ada beberapa langkah yang boleh diambil oleh arkitek dan pemilik rumah untuk meningkatkannya iaitu dengan mengenalkan seni bina tradisional dengan pelbagai konsep yang unik oleh arkitek dan melantik tenaga mahir dalam mengimplementasi seni bina tradisional dalam rumah moden supaya dapat menjalankan kerja pembinaan dengan lebih teratur. Kajian ini dijalankan supaya dapat meningkatkan identiti adat dan budaya seni bina tradisional ini untuk memberikan gambaran atau idea kepada pihak arkitek mahupun pemilik rumah tradisional supaya seni bina tradisional ini dapat dikembangkan lagi dengan pesat dalam pengimplementasiannya.</text>
